Please permit me to thank you for so many kind words and notes you have shared with me. Just the other day, I received an email from a wonderful family in the parish with such nice things to say. It has been very humbling. The family included a letter written by a young man named Matthew from our Religious Education Program. The letter was addressed to Cardinal Dolan, asking him to reconsider my transfer! The letter brought me to tears. Thank you Matthew for having my back and for writing such a fine and thoughtful letter. Perhaps Matthew, you might consider being a priest one day. You have already developed the art of communicating well with your bishop!
I leave IHM in a few weeks with a heavy but grateful heart. In no time, Msgr. Sweeney will realize the beauty and kindness of the people of this wonderful parish. Thanks again.

2021 MASS INTENTIONS
Our 2021 Mass Intention Book will open on Wednesday, August 26.

The Offering for an announced Mass is $20

A photocopy of your request will be mailed to you and filed in the office.

Updates regarding the gradual reopening of Church's in the Archdiocese of New York
- "Dispensation" from Attending Sunday Mass: For now, there is no requirement to attend mass. The Church trusts her faithful to make very cautious and prudential judgement about obeying any of the requirements of God, all the while being careful that it is not going to be potentially dangerous to their health. Please join us when you feel safe and comfortable to do so. As an alternative, Mass may we viewed online or on TV, and the act of spiritual communion may be used instead of receiving the Eucharist
- Receiving Holy Communion on the tongue: We are hoping that for the foreseeable future, our parishioners will comply with the church’s request and receive on the hand for the safety and protection of the priests and the people.
- Church Capacity: The capacity in the church has been raised from 25% to 33%, with six feet distancing and no physical contact.
- Paper Bulletins: We will not distribute paper bulletins for the time being. Our Sunday bulletin will continue to be emailed to parishioners via Flocknote.

We are only allowed 33% capacity, so we are offering a sign up process that will close once capacity is met. If you have not signed up, please use the form below.
You will receive a confirmation email, there is no need to print and bring with you. We will have a list of confirmed attendees at the church entrance.

Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens in Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville.
- The time commitment is for once a week, between 10:15am and 12pm.
- Pick up is at Lake Isle Country Club (660 White Plains Road)
- if you cannot commit to a regular weekly route, consider becoming a “Substitute“ Volunteer and fill in as needed.

AS PANDEMIC DESTROYS TRADITIONAL BLOOD DRIVE MODEL, 75% OF INCOMING SUPPLY IS THREATENED
New York Blood Center is calling on the community to make appointments to visit donor centers and community blood drives as COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the process of donating blood. Before COVID-19, mobile blood drives hosted by high schools, colleges, businesses and other organizations made up about 75% of the region’s incoming blood supply, but the number of blood drives has dropped by two-thirds this year due to the pandemic.
NYBC is encouraging eligible donors of all ages to adapt to this new normal by making appointments to visit one of its 19 donors centers, which have expanded capacity and hours of operation in order to safely accommodate more donors.
Blood from volunteer donors is needed every two seconds to help meet the daily transfusion needs of cancer and surgery patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and mothers delivering babies, AIDS and sickle cell anemia patients, and many more.

Bikes4Kids
Bikes4 Kids in America is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the goal of helping every child feel the joy and freedom of riding his or her own bike. Through giving bikes to kids in need, we aim to help communities grow stronger and closer through the power of cycling. The Westchester Cycle Club collects Bikes4Kids. GENERAL INFORMATION
- Sunday Masses are open to the public at 33% capacity. Mass Times are 5:30PM Vigil and 8AM, 10AM and 12 noon on Sunday. Please follow the sign up process for these masses.
- Weekday Masses are open to the public at 33% capacity. We are following the regular weekday schedule and masses will he held at 6:45AM and 9AM.
- Confession: Saturdays from 4-5PM.
- Live stream: All Sunday Masses will be live streamed. We will live stream the 9:00 AM weekday and Saturday Masses. Masses can be viewed on our website at IHM-Parish.org.
- The Rectory is open with limited hours of 10AM - 4PM.
- IHM Online Contributions through WeShare: Please consider using WeShare to set up electronic recurring contributions to IHM. Support our parish consistently, even if you are unable to attend Mass!
- Mail in Contributions: If you can't attend Mass or use WeShare, you may mail in your envelopes. We do not have a secure drop off spot on the premises, so please do not hand deliver your contribution envelopes to the Rectory. Our mailing address is: IHM Rectory, 8 Carman Rd, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
- Flocknote: IHM continues to use Flocknote as a main method of communication. If you have friends or family who are not subscribed, please direct them to our website, IHM-Parish.org, to sign up.
