Monsignor Ferry and Monsignor Sweeney, will be joining us for this special occasion. Their presence is a cherished part of our parish family.
During the Mass, the Cardinal will officially install our new Pastor and bless the memorial plaques commissioned by Monsignor Sweeney.
Following the liturgy, all parishioners are warmly invited to greet the Cardinal
and attend a catered reception in the Lower Church.

I am pleased to announce that the Sensory-Friendly Mass, previously held at Immaculate Heart of Mary, will now resume at its new location: Our Lady of Fatima Church.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between Immaculate Heart of Mary and Annunciation–Our Lady of Fatima, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Robert Grippo for graciously welcoming this Mass into its new permanent home. Our Lady of Fatima also hosts a vibrant Special Needs Religious Education program, further enriching its commitment to inclusive ministry.
For those of you who might be unaware, this special liturgy is designed to offer a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals and families who benefit from a quieter, more flexible worship experience — including those with sensory sensitivities, autism, or other special needs.
The next mass is scheduled for Sunday, November 16 at 1:15pm.
All are welcome to join us in prayer and community as we continue this beautiful tradition in its new home.

Friends, in our Gospel, Jesus performs the dramatic gesture of cleansing the temple. His prophetic vocation will manifest itself in all of his speech, gestures, and actions. Jesus’s confrontation with fallen powers and dysfunctional traditions will be highly focused, intense, and disruptive.
Standing at the heart of the holy city of Jerusalem, the temple was the political, economic, cultural, and religious center of the nation. Turning over the tables of the money-changers, driving out the merchants, shouting in high dudgeon, and upsetting the order of that place was striking at the most sacred institution of the culture, the unassailable embodiment of the tradition.

It was to show oneself as a critic in the most radical and surprising sense possible. That this act of Jesus the warrior flowed from the depth of his prophetic identity is witnessed to by the author of John’s Gospel: “His disciples recalled the words of Scripture, ‘Zeal for your house will consume me.’” Many of the historical critics of the New Testament hold that this event—shocking, unprecedented, perverse—is what finally persuaded the leaders that Jesus merited execution.

The Sisters of the House of Prayer (across the street from IHM Church) will be offering a Life in the Spirit Seminar on Thursdays, November 13th & 20th from 10AM to 11:30AM.
Sr. Nancy will give the talks designed to lead to an expectancy and experience of the grace of the Holy Spirit as it was manifest in the early Church. The seminar will begin with a short prayer in the convent Chapel followed by the talks, some sharing or questions and conclude with a time of intercessory prayer for the needs of the world, the Church and our personal needs.
Support Our Parish Confirmation Service Project
IHM Confirmation students are raising funds to purchase gift cards for food items to help families in need enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner.
Additionally, they will be collecting men's jeans from waist sizes 30 through 38 (any length). Jeans should be in good condition with no stains or rips. The jeans will be donated to Midnight Run.
How You Can Help:
Students will be collecting cash donations and jean donations before and after Mass on the following dates:
Saturday, November 15th (Vigil) - 5:30PM
Sunday, November 16th - 7:30AM, 9AM, 10:30AM, 12PM
Every donation counts! Your generosity will help make Thanksgiving brighter for families in need. Thank you for helping our parish community share the joy of Thanksgiving!
Our next Midnight Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th. We are urgently in need of the following items and ask that they arrive by Sunday, November 30th:
- Men's jeans waist size 30 thru 34, any length
- Men's sneakers sizes 9 thru 13
- Men's long sleeved shirts and hoodie wear especially large and XL
- Toiletries especially bars of soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo
We will also be needing jackets, coats, and winterwear as the cool weather arrives. As you search through your closets, please keep us in mind as you discover items which you have outgrown or lost interest in!! Please make sure that donations are in good shape with no holes or stains

Each family that registers will create an Advent wreath that can be used year after year and become a cherished part of your family’s Christmas tradition. The wreaths will be blessed by Father Ries.
