Happy Father's Day this weekend! The Parish Council has seen to a gift for all fathers of a pen from IHM commemorating this Father's Day. Please be sure to take one while at Mass.
To all involved in elementary, middle and high school education, who are coming to the conclusion of the school year - may God grant you perseverance!
Congratulations to all the graduates this month!
A special word to our 8th graders who were graduated from IHM School last night, joining the ranks of Alumni of our parish school! I began at IHM when you were in 5th grade and coming back from the pandemic. My heart is filled with gratitude seeing how much you have grown and achieved after these 4 years. All the best as you prepare for high school!

Next Sunday, June 23rd at 2:00 PM, we will offer a Sensory Friendly/Special Needs Mass at 2pm. Already 20 have RSVP'd (recommended, not required).
That weekend we look forward to the Parish Council's Coffee and Donuts in the lower church while we have a Social Ministry Good Will Donation Event after every Mass in the lower church, too. More information is below.
We will also open our library for a day (9 am - 12 noon)! Books may be taken out for all summer and returned after Labor Day! Please click here for more information about our library, such as to view the catalogue and to request a library card.

Whether you have a beautiful or a broken relationship with your own biological or adoptive father (or any father figures in your life), you can always turn to God our Father, and to St. Joseph, the head of the Holy Family for comfort and guidance throughout your life.
If you're a father in any capacity, ask St. Joseph to guide you in your role. He was the foster father of Jesus Christ—he raised the Savior of the world! There's no better example of an earthly father than him!
The position of St. Joseph as husband and foster father gives witness to the dignity of fatherhood.

The Parish offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. However, there will be the regular schedule of Masses and Adoration.

Our IHM Students Graduated on Friday, June 14th
As we come to the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we congratulate all of our students for their hard work, accomplishments and great school spirit! The Class of 2024 are off to well known, academically strong and Catholic high schools such as Fordham Prep, Stepinac, Iona Prep, Maria Regina, The Ursuline School and Holy Child. Collectively , they earned $541,260 in academic scholarships. As they move on from IHM, we wish them love, faith and continuous success. I thank you all for your support of our IHM School. The IHM High School of Religion (HSOR) held a Graduation Celebration to honor the Senior Class. The students shared with their families and HSOR members the positive impact of being part of this faith community throughout their high school years. HSOR will resume weekly gatherings of faith and fun in September. Come see why our students describe HSOR as a “ welcoming community of friends” and a “night out in the middle of the week!”

The generosity of the IHM family has been overwhelming and, as a result, the recent Midnight Runs have been a wonderful success! Our next Run will be in a few weeks and we are targeting the following to replenish our inventory:
- Men's pants waist sizes 30-34 and all lengths; men's and women's sweatpants sized small, medium, large, and extra large; men's sneakers sizes 9 thru 13; women's sneakers sizes 7 thru 9; rain ponchos, all sizes.
- Please note that we only distribute gently used or new items. So, as you pull your summer wear forward in your closets, please consider Midnight Run if something doesn't strike your fancy anymore! Even if a donation cannot be used for a Run, we will have a home for it - there is much need in the NY metro area!

HOPE Community Soup Kitchen Needs Your Help
- We are looking for more volunteers to cook for the HOPE Community Supper Program. The need is greater than ever. Cooking is done at home and delivered to the Church, it is then picked up and delivered to HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle (www.hopecommunityservices.org).
- Timing: Held every third Friday, and also the occasional 5th Tuesday of the month. NEXT HOPE SOUP KITCHEN Drop off: Friday, June 21st by 11:00AM – if you have perishable food and can bring it close to 11:00am, please do so.
- If cooking is "not your thing" we could use help with shopping for other food items

IHM Social Ministry Good Will Donation Event

will be sponsoring a second Good Will Donation event to raise funds
for our Social Ministries Account that helps those in need
as well as our various Social Ministries
(MIDNITE RUN, HOPE, FOOD PANTRY & more).
This event will display IHM memorabilia and a variety of household items generously donated by our IHM parishioners.
Please help to support the IHM Social Ministry efforts
by selecting from the various items and making a free will donation.
There will also be a 50/50 Raffle.
IHM Religious Education 2024-2025 Registration is NOW OPEN
On the day of your child's/children's Baptism, the Church pledged to you, the parents, our assistance in raising them in the practice of the faith to keep God's commandments as Jesus taught us, by loving God and our neighbor. Here at Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Religious Education Program is part of this integral formation in the faith that would include daily prayer at home, family participation in Sunday Mass (and on Holy Days of Obligation), periodic Confession, and the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy flowing out from your dinner table.
IHM Religious Education Registration for the 2024-2025 school year for grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade opened on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Registration, including credit card payment, is completed online and is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Returning Families should sign in to www.parishgiving.org to register. You should have received an email to remind you of your username.
New Families, those who did not have a child enrolled in 23-24, must complete a New Family Registration Form to register a child(ren) for 24-25.

Public Square Rosary Rally
You are invited to a 2024 Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturday, July 6th at 12:00 noon. It will take place in the North Parking lot of IHM Church (by the Grotto). This year as we pray Our Lady’s Rosary and other prayers in her honor, we invoke her blessings on marriage and the family and for PEACE in America and in the world. This Rally is one of 20,000 rosary rallies, organized by America Needs Fatima, that will take place all over the United States. Please make an effort to attend. IHM CYO Summer Volleyball Camp
IHM CYO is running a summer Volleyball camp for students in grades 4 to 8 who are parishioners of IHM and/or attend our IHM School.
- Session One will be held from July 22 to July 26 from 4PM to 7PM
- Session Two be held from July 29 to August 2 from 4PM to 7PM
The fee is $155 per session. A Tee shirt is included.

An "Entering Canaan" Day of Prayers and Healing for women will be held in Westchester, NY on Saturday August 10th. - IHM High School of Religion (HSOR): HSOR will return in September! We offer a fun and relaxing faith community of service projects, Prayer & Pizza, Game Nights, sacraments, lively discussions and Open Gym. - IHM Women's Prayer Group: The Prayer Group holds weekly prayer gatherings for women Thursdays from 7:00-8:00PM in the Church Library. For more information, please contact the Rectory (914-723-0276 or ihmchurch@ihmscarsdale.org).
- Charismatic Morning of Renewal Meeting at the House of Prayer: This group meets on Thursdays after the 9:00AM parish Mass - Morning Prayer, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with Intercessory Prayer and a discussion of the Scripture Readings for the coming Sunday.
- IHM School of Community: this group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00PM in the IHM Rectory Conference Room to look at our daily life and discover who we are as Christians. The text discussed is "The Religious Sense" by Father Luigi Giussani. If you are interested in attending via Zoom, please contact the Rectory and ask to be put in contact with Carolyn of School of Community.
- IHM Bible Discussion Group: The IHM Bible Discussion Group meets every Tuesday night through mid-June from 7PM to 8:30PM in the IHM lower Church and are currently reading John's Gospel. Parishioners gather to read, analyze, and discuss Sacred Scripture while enjoying a little dessert and each other’s company. To make Bible Discussion more accessible at IHM and accommodate those unavailable on Tuesday night, there is a do-it-yourself-at-home option. - IHM Troop 2 (Boy Scouts): this group welcomes 5th through 8th grade boys interested in outdoor adventure. - IHM Young Adult Group for those in their 20's & 30's: We will plan an IHM gathering at some point.
- Catholic Widows and Widowers of Yonkers will meet on Thursday, June 20th, at St. Ann's Church in Father Anthony Hall (31 College Place, Yonkers), at 12:30pm. - Beginning Experience of the Hudson Valley is a peer led ministry that
serves those grieving the end of a marriage or spousal relationship due to death, divorce, or separation. We invite men and women of all ages to attend our upcoming program - In the Beginning…Coping with Life Alone. This is a one day remote via Zoom program held on Saturday, June 22nd from 9AM to 4PM. There will be a bus service sponsored by Westchester-Putnam Right to Life Committee. - The Catholic Social Widows and Widowers Group meets monthly (fourth Monday of the month) at Church of St Pius X (91 Secor Rd, Scarsdale) to honor our deceased spouses with a Mass at 5:30PM (a new earlier time) in the main church, followed by a social meeting with refreshments. The next meeting date is Monday, June 24. We plan activities and have meals at local area restaurants. We welcome Widows and Widowers from all parishes. - The Serra Club of the Bronx and Westchester will be holding its monthly luncheon meeting on June 26th at the Eastwood Manor (3371 Eastchester Road, Bronx). Guest speaker this month is Reverend Robert P. Badillo, M.ID., pastor of Our Lady of Solace-St. Dominic’s Church. Five course lunch is $42. - Healing Weekend: This is a 48 hour overnight program held at the Dominican Conference and Retreat Center in Niskayuna, NY held on July 26th to July 28th. For information or to register, please call Gloria at (914) 261-5812 or Phyllis at (646) 281-4790.
- The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) offers services to persons age 55+. If you are ready to reenter the workplace, a wide range of jobs are available and the SCSEP Program is eager to assist you in preparing for a job and to direct you to job openings. Mature job seekers learn new skills, update current skills, and obtain skills to find a job. Training programs include computer, customer service, home health aide, and office skills. For more information and eligibility guidelines speak to a SCSEP Peer Counselor at the Urban League of Westchester at (914) 428-5850.
- A senior parishioner is looking for an accessible apartment in the area for $1,000 or under. Please reach out to the pastor with any information.
