My dear friends and parishioners,
A joyous and glorious Easter of the Lord Jesus' Resurrection to you!
The Scripture selections and the Liturgies of this past week are so amazingly rich, please take time to return again to them in the next days and weeks to delve deeper into those places that struck your heart so as to grow in deeper awe, love and wonder of our Heavenly Father and Jesus through such graced moments!
Congratulations to our three Catechumens (the Elect), who are to receive all the Sacraments of Initiation this evening at the Easter Vigil (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist)! God bless you and your families!
Thank you to Ray and Brenda Mechmann, our parish Order of Christian Initiation Coordinators, assisted by Mike Farrell, who meet each week with those entering the Catholic Church or those Catholics completing their initiation.
In addition, a lot of people make this powerful Holy Week possible, moving and beautiful:
-Father Thumma for his prayer, friendship and steadfast efforts in support of our Liturgies!
-Our wonderful consecrated Religious - Sister Nancy, Sister Theresa and Sister Rose!
-Dr. Laurie Adamo, our IHM Music Director, who oversees our beloved and hard-working Choir along with our Cantor, Larry Harris, choice soloists and a select brass ensemble!
-The Saint Veronica's Guild, who live up to their patroness this week in particular, with their tireless efforts to create a beautiful seasonal environment for our worship from the flowers, to the altar cloths to shining up all the sanctuary items!
-Liturgical Ministers of Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers, Sacristan and Ushers!
-Coordinator of Religious Education, Laura Covais, her staff, our Catechists and volunteers!
-Principal Tracy Keelin, her staff, our Teachers and the Home School Association (HSA)!
-The Rectory Staff of our Business Manager, Parish Receptionist, Parish Secretary (welcome back Joanne!) and our Facilities Management addressing our maintenance and cleaning needs!
Enjoy this Day with Jesus and your families and loved ones! Remember that each day this week is part of the Easter Octave and next Sunday we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday! An afternoon Holy Hour, as usual, will be offered.
A blessed Easter Week to you!
