Today, Saturday, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary - for us it is a Solemnity as the Blessed Mother under this title is our parish's patroness!
Next year we will celebrate this important Solemnity at all the Sunday Masses of that weekend (June 26, 2022).
Tomorrow, June 13th is Fr. Thomas Lynch's Birthday! I believe that he is still, unfortunately, in the hospital. As a parish we wish him the strength of our Lord, graces upon his Mother and family, and health in mind, body and soul.

Last night the 8th grade students of our IHM parish school were graduated in a beautiful Liturgy of the Word, Awards Ceremony and Consecration Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Thank you, Mrs. Tracy Keelin, your teachers and staff for an incredible job this challenging year. To the student graduates and to all of our parishioners who are graduating from various colleges, high schools, middle schools and elementary schools - Congratulations on your achievements and may the Lord Jesus guide you in your next step in life! Always seek God's Will for you and how you may please our Heavenly Father in this life.
Thank you to all who have contributed to this year's Cardinal's Stewardship Appeal! I appreciate your generosity. We are very close to our goals of participation and overall donations. Hopefully, we can reach our goal by the end of this month.
Next weekend our veteran Lectors will be returning to the pulpit to Proclaim the Word of God! We are looking forward to reintegrating them into our Masses. Thank you Fr. Rafferty for coordinating this return.
A number of parishioners have been asking about the Mass Intention Book for 2022. Since 2021 book's filled up by the end of May of this year, we will rethink how best to open up the 2022 Mass Intention Book this Fall to enable all to have their Mass Intentions, particularly those who may lose loved ones during the course of 2022.

MASS ATTENDANCE SAFETY PROTOCOLS
UPDATE TO IHM MASS SIGNUP PROCESS
After observing people's preference for seating at Sunday Masses, there seems to be ample room in two sections of the church without social distancing. The social distance section, however, approaches capacity. Therefore, we are updating our signup practice:
- We are now offering Mass signup only for the Carman Road side of the church, where masks and social distance will be required, so as to assist individuals/families plan for Sunday Mass. Please use the Signup below only if you prefer this section of the church
All others are invited to attend Mass in person with no signup required.
- If you prefer to wear a mask, you will be seated on the School side of the church.
- If you prefer not to wear a mask, you will be seated in the Adoration Chapel.
- Neither of these areas will require social distancing.
The church will continue to be sanitized between Masses.
Anyone with symptoms of the Virus should absent themselves from in person Mass.
The recurring Mass registrations are now suspended, please signup below if you plan to attend Mass and sit on the Carman Road side.

Collection for the Church in Latin America: Today, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Lain America. Your gifts to the Collection will fund catechesis, marriage and family life programs, and seminarian education in Latin America and the Caribbean. By funding these programs, the support you give today will provide seeds to grow the faith for years to come.
The Catholic Home Missions Appeal: Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have enough priests and trained lay ministers to serve their parishes. The dioceses are known as home missions. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place this weekend to support these dioceses by funding essential ministries, including seminary education and lay ministry training. Please be generous in this Appeal and share your resources to strengthen the Church at home.

2021 PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY RALLY - Saturday, July 10
You are invited to the 2021 Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturday, July 10th at 12:00 noon in the IHM Parking lot of IHM Church in Scarsdale This year as we pray Our Lady’s Rosary and other prayers in her honor, we invoke her blessings on marriage and the family and on our country and the world.
This Rally is one of 20,000 rosary rallies, organized by America Needs Fatima, that will take place all over the United States. This is the Saturday closest to July 4th, the founding of America. Please make an effort to attend. The Rosary Rally Captain is Dr. Priscilla Parameswaran - (914) 441-8805. Please bring your lawn chairs and be there on time.

- The College Evenings: On Thursday, June 24th at we will visit Fordham University’s church for a conversation with Fr. Joseph Koterski, SJ, Associate Professor of Philosophy. We will head over by carpool from IHM at 5:15pm. Following the discussion we will order food from Arthur Ave! HOPE COMMUNITY SOUP KITCHEN
NEEDS YOUR HELP!
- We are looking for more volunteers to cook for the HOPE Community Supper Program. The need is greater than ever. Cooking is done at home and delivered to the Church, it is then picked up and delivered to HOPE Community Services in New Rochelle (www.hopecommunityservices.org).
- Timing: Held every third Friday, and also the occasional 5th Tuesday of the month. NEXT HOPE SOUP KITCHEN Drop off: FRIDAY, June 18th between 11:30AM - 1:00PM .
