My dear friends,
A blessed Solemnity of the Eucharist where the Church focuses our reflection and meditation on the gift of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
Perhaps this Sunday is a good opportunity to evaluate my relationship with the Blessed Sacrament. If I come to Mass each week, maybe the Lord Jesus is inviting me to spend some time with Him in Adoration, be it in a Holy Hour or in church alone with His Presence. If I am still viewing Mass virtually due to the pandemic, God may be inviting me to reassess my/my family's health situation and come to Mass to receive Our Lord, be it on a Sunday or, as a first step, at a daily Mass where there will not be as many in attendance. Jesus wants to nourish our souls with the gift of His very self and bring us more deeply into His Sacrifice of Divine Love. To prepare for this Holy Communion, it may be wise to make a good Confession.
Father Lynch has a birthday on June 13th! His family informs me that he is doing OK, but is back in the hospital at this time to address some issues. As we continue to keep him in prayer for his full recovery, let us offer him some gift of a spiritual bouquet (prayer, Rosary, personal sacrifice, a Holy Communion, Act of Charity, etc.).
Congratulations to our parishioners, Joseph, John, Anna and Jean, who are distinguished for their longevity and perseverance in the life of grace!
Please say a prayer for approval of our Renew and Rebuild Request at the Archdiocese to begin work on the outside of the church and rectory, including the slate roof and the windows of the lower church. Before the pandemic, it was the practice that such approvals for significant projects would be given a verbal approval within a month or so of the request and that the formal process would eventually be completed as time and as the project went on. We have now been informed that it is now the practice that, except for emergencies, the formal process is the only vehicle of approval. Our request was submitted around Easter and we are hoping to take advantage of the summer months to address our parish's R+R project so as to conclude by Labor Day Weekend... Stay tuned!
Sunday, September 19th, the Relics of Saint Padre Pio will be coming to IHM! More information to follow.
The month of June is dedicated in our Faith to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose Solemnity will be on the 11th (and our Parish Feast day will be the 12th!). May we be touched and transformed by the incredible love of God through Jesus' human heart so that His divine grace may flood our souls.

What is the feast of Corpus Christi?
Corpus Christi (also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ) is a celebration of Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist. Every Mass is a participation in and celebration of this sacrifice, but the feast of Corpus Christi is a time to be especially aware of the gift of the Eucharist.
As Catholics, it can sometimes be hard to truly believe that the Holy Communion we receive at Mass is actually Jesus' body. This year on Corpus Christi (celebrated on June 3rd), ask Jesus to help you fully understand the mystery of his real presence in the Eucharist. A simple prayer you can say is, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief."

MASS ATTENDANCE SAFETY PROTOCOLS
IHM will provide 3 areas to accommodate various preferences/ requirements.
AREA 1: The Adoration Chapel will be reserved for those not wearing masks. No social distancing will be offered.
AREA 2: The school/parking lot side of the main body of the church will no longer observe social distancing, but masks will be required.
AREA 3: The Carman Road side of the main body of the church will continue as a physical distance section for those wearing masks.
The church will continue to be sanitized between Masses.
Anyone with symptoms of the Virus should absent themselves from in person Mass.
Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, recurring Mass registrations will be suspended and these 3 accommodations will be offered for Mass sign-up as we seek to expand our capacity to receive people back to Sunday Mass, step-by-step

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THOSE
WITH GLUTEN SENSITIVITIES
For any who have sensitivities to Gluten, know that Low Gluten hosts (containing less than 0.002% gluten, <20ppm, fully in accord with Church Canon Law) are available for receiving our Lord in Holy Communion. For those unable to have any gluten, we are happy to offer Holy Communion from a separate Chalice. Please speak with a priest before Mass.
IHM’S ANNUAL BABY BOTTLE COLLECTION
FOR EXPECTANT MOTHER CARE
Each year this simple collection raises thousands of dollars for Moms and children – with all profits going to support Expectant Mother Care (EMC) in its mission to help mothers and families in crisis pregnancies. Funds support mobile units, free ultrasounds and testing, pregnancy assistance, residences for Mothers, and physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support for families. Please pick up an empty baby bottle from IHM Church, and fill it with change, checks, prayers and love! On Fathers' Day, Sunday, June 20, you may return the bottle filled with donations for EMC. Please make out your checks to Expectant Mother Care.
- The next College Evening will take place on Tuesday, June 8th from 7:30-8:15PM in the Church. - The Centering Prayer Group meets every Wednesday in the Church from 1-2pm.
- The IHM High School of Religion (HSOR) is a vibrant faith and learning community for students in grades 9-12. HSOR meets every Wednesday night at IHM Church from 7:30-8:30PM for the weekly activity and refreshments. June 9th will be the last meeting before resuming in the Fall. Did you know that IHM Religious Education Program begins in Kindergarten?
Just as your child begins their educational journey in Kindergarten, IHM invites you to begin their journey in the faith at the same time. Immaculate Heart of Mary Religious Education offers classes to support your home faith learning starting in Kindergarten and continuing through eighth grade.
Our Kindergarten teachers provide a loving and nurturing classroom setting. The Kindergarten curriculum focuses on the basic beliefs of our religion: an introduction to God, the Church, Jesus and what it means to be a part of God’s family. VIRTUAL MEN'S RETREAT
The next Virtual Men's Retreat will take place on Saturday, June 12 from 9AM-12:30PM over Zoom entitled: "St. Joseph, Man for Our Times." It is sponsored by the Holy Name Societies of IHM and Annunciation - OLF Parishes. Deacon John Catalano and William Winnis will provide insightful presentations on St. Joseph's role and relevance for men today. All men younger and more mature are welcome!
