A blessed and Happy Pentecost and Birthday of the Church!
While we receive the 7-fold Gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation, a good way to tell if our hearts and souls have been sufficiently receptive to the Holy Spirit is to evaluate the effects or Fruits in our lives. In his letter to the Galatians, St. Paul lists the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). (Click here for an explanation of each Fruit). That is why it is good to pray often - Come O Holy Spirit, Come Through Mary!
Thank you for your generosity to the collection for India to assist with those suffering from Covid-19. It will go to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association for India. We are praying this weekend for a classmate and dear friend of Fr. Thumma, Father Joji Reddy, who succumbed to the Virus. Given the wonderful thank you note that the Religious Provincial Superior has sent the parish, explaining how our Social Ministry donation has had an impact, I released a further $2,000.00 from the Social Ministry Account to be utilized by their Religious Congregation. Here is an excerpt from Sisters thank you letter:
"Dear Father, Everywhere, there is pain; – but our Faith is alive in the midst of the pandemic; - Only faith can console and make people go forward in the current tragedy. We have addressed this pandemic with the motto of the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. We live this terrible suffering with faith and in the Providence of God. Th very distressing situation, very uncertain for everyone, is a time of pain, suffering and anxiety for everyone, because we do not know how we can save ourselves from the infection. But as is our moral responsibility, we have
done the following acts of mercy with the monetary help donated freely through the instrumentality of our brother priest Fr. Rayapa Reddy. Our hearts are astounded with appreciation and gratefulness towards God, you and your Parishioners. We were able to sign up with COVID-19 affected people and ignited the light of Christ during the dark moments of their life. This would have not been successful without your acts of generosity in support of the poor. We are continuing the pandemic mission in reaching out to the unreached in our conceivable capabilities.

- Oxygen concentrator for one family.
- Medical Kits for 300 families.
- PPE kits 20.
- Pulse Oxy Meters 5.
- Assisting in the Last Sacraments
- Distribution of the Holy Communion to the sick
- Tele-counselling
- Visiting the families
- Jesus sent us the Holy
Spirit to bind us as one with Him, our Heavenly Father and each other. What a beautiful act of communion and solidarity with our suffering Members of the Church across the globe.

He is best known for his CATHOLICISM film series and his Emmy-nominated Pivotal Players series, which have both aired on PBS and EWTN, and have been seen by millions of people.

MASS ATTENDANCE SAFETY PROTOCOLS
(UPDATED 5/22)
IHM will provide 3 areas to accommodate various preferences/ requirements.
1. The Adoration Chapel will be reserved for those fully vaccinated individuals who prefer not to wear masks indoors. No social distancing will be offered. The stained glass windows will be opened, but the clear glass windows facing the altar will be kept closed (door will be open for Mass so as to facilitate the distribution of Holy Communion).
2. The Carman Road side of the main body of the church will continue as a physical distance section for those wearing masks who prefer or who are required to physically distance.
3. The school/parking lot side of the main body of the church will no longer observe social distancing, but proper wearing of masks will be required. This is intended for fully vaccinated persons.
The church will continue to be sanitized between Masses.
Anyone with symptoms of the Virus should absent themselves from in person Mass.
Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, recurring Mass registrations will be suspended and these 3 accommodations will be offered for Mass sign-up as we seek to expand our capacity to receive people back to Sunday Mass, step-by-step.

Just as your child begins their educational journey in Kindergarten, IHM invites you to begin their journey in the faith at the same time. Immaculate Heart of Mary Religious Education offers classes to support your home faith learning starting in Kindergarten and continuing through eighth grade.
Our Kindergarten teachers provide a loving and nurturing classroom setting. The Kindergarten curriculum focuses on the basic beliefs of our religion: an introduction to God, the Church, Jesus and what it means to be a part of God’s family. IHM’S ANNUAL BABY BOTTLE COLLECTION
FOR EXPECTANT MOTHER CARE
Each year this simple collection raises thousands of dollars for Moms and children – with all profits going to support Expectant Mother Care (EMC) in its mission to help mothers and families in crisis pregnancies. Funds support mobile units, free ultrasounds and testing, pregnancy assistance, residences for Mothers, and physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support for families. Please pick up an empty baby bottle from IHM Church, and fill it with change, checks, prayers and love! On Fathers' Day you may return the bottle filled with donations for EMC. Please make out your checks to Expectant Mother Care.
What is Paschal Time?
Paschal Time (also called Easter Time) marks the high point of the Church’s year and therefore has profound significance for our identity as Catholic Christians. Technically, it is a seven-week season that begins at Easter Sunday and ends with Pentecost Sunday. To better appreciate its meaning, however, we need to understand Paschal Time within the context of the full liturgical calendar, and especially in light of the Paschal Triduum, which immediately precedes and leads into it.

GOLDEN JUBILEE WEDDING MASS
AT ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL
The Golden Jubilee Wedding Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday, June 6, at 2:30PM. The Mass will be celebrated by His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan. Reservations are closed at this time. All Golden Jubilee couples will receive a commemorative certificate.
To those who have already registered for the Golden Jubilee Wedding Mass:
- Seating in the cathedral is limited.
- Pews will be reserved for golden jubilee couples only.
- Up to two (2) additional family and friends will be accommodated in pews outside of the reserved section in general seating.
- Couples will be notified if the seating capacity changes and more tickets become available.

VIRTUAL MEN'S RETREAT
There will be another Virtual Men's Retreat on Saturday, June 12 from 9AM-12:30PM with the theme of "St. Joseph, Man for Our Times." Back by popular demand after the successful Virtual Men's Retreat in February, this Retreat will be entirely online using Zoom. It is again sponsored by the Holy Name Societies of IHM and Annunciation - OLF Parishes. Deacon John Catalano and William Winnis will provide insightful presentations on St. Joseph's role and relevance for men today. You don't want to miss this!
