RENEW + BEBUILD UPDATE
Regarding the status of our Renew + Rebuild efforts, I am pleased to report that the parish has completed the preparation work and collected enough pledges for the Archdiocese of New York to review for approval to begin work. This, however, will take some time.
To date, $2,370,313 has been pledged to the Renew + Rebuild Campaign. Although our Goal was $1,774,500, and we have been blessed to have already received $1,949,752. We do have an outstanding balance of $420,560.
You may have already noticed some of what has already been completed: emergency roof repairs, emergency pointing, attention to the parking lots, disabled access from Carmon Road to the sidewalk and ramp provided, feasibility study and a facility condition assessment.
The following pressing needs were presented by the parish and approved by the archdiocese including: roof repairs for the church and rectory, replacement of lower church windows, and exterior pointing and repairs.
At this time, we are looking forward to seeing contractor activity “Renewing and Rebuilding” our facilities. The project has been successfully bid. The Archdiocese is currently approving & awarding the contract. We expect the work to commence later this spring and continue through the summer. Your prayers for the good weather required to keep the project on schedule are greatly appreciated!
Therefore, you will see when work gets underway: scaffolding for roof and exterior repairs, roof slate replacement where required, new energy efficient windows in the lower Church and leaks repaired in the Church and Rectory, especially around windows and doors.
Following that, the next phase of the R+R Project will include painting the Church interior and replacing the flooring. The scope of work and level of finishes will be based on available funding. I am looking forward to providing you with more information after Easter.
